So what is Leland Blue? More precious Michigan history! Originating from the Leland peninsula, just north of Traverse City, Michigan, this unique material is not really a stone at all, but rather slag from the old iron works around the turn of the century. The white inclusions are local limestone. It measures 22 x 16mm. The ring shank is heavy sterling silver. Size 8½. Sterling Silver and “One of a Kind”.
Being left-handed, I had broken the diamond and bent the prongs several times on my wedding ring due to it's high setting. I gave up wearing it and placed the ring in the safe.
